Horse riding

Your Company Name Here is pleased to sponsor this page. Visit our site

You can't ride a horse inside the National Park, but you can on and around some beautiful farmland in the Te Anau and Manapouri region. You can also ride on sections of the lake front of Lake Te Anau. You can ride your horse from the boat harbour going north to the Upukerora river and then up the side of the river.

Fiordland Horse Treks offers two to three hour rides over high farmland.

Kepler Horse Lessons and Treks offers more of a one-on-one experience, in small groups on trips around the Waiau river and the shores of Lake Te Anau, right next to the National Park gates.

There is a supportive community of horse riders in Te Anau and Manapouri. Join their Te Anau Horse Info facebook page

You can also join the Pony Club. Call 03 249 9169.
